An avid reader and friend wants to know about his “past life.” It is rather unusual for anyone to want to know the past because majority would rather know the future!
My friend does not seem to realize that both, our past and future, are entangled in a web of truth and destiny. We will have no future if we did not have a past. Everything that will happen must have a beginning, a reason to start with. That’s why in reading one’s future, seeing the past is important. A good reader is one who can tell you your past life without anyone giving any hints about it.
In the universal law of truth about life, “One can never lose anything that really belongs to him and one cannot keep anything that belongs to someone else.” For example, a school diploma certifies that one had accomplished all the prerequisites to graduate. But this doesn’t mean one will be successful in his future life. What he has done and learned in school will influence his future destiny. We can manufacture our own diplomas, “doctor” school and government records just to upgrade one’s accomplishments, and yet the future will still lead us to the path that really corresponds to our inherent and learned abilities.
And to think we are just talking about one’s current past life — we are not yet even talking about the “past lives” we’ve had in other eras and places, meaning the “past incarnations” we have had in so many decades and centuries past. What we were in our past lives have bearings on our current life. The people whom we met and had experiences with in the past will certainly cross our paths today. They will either help or destroy us by fulfilling (or not) our unfinished businesses and stories, and vice versa.
Past life and reincarnation are certainly debatable subjects in many “belief” sectors. There are many valid arguments against these, and I feel, as a believer myself, that we should respond.
The most popular question is: “If past life is true, how come we don’t have any memory of it?” To start with, in our current life, not all people will have a clear and vivid recalling of his school days, the fun, laughter, pain and most especially the lessons taken up. It will all be forgotten, sooner or later. The recalling will come if one stumbles upon an incident, an old friend, an old ally, a material or item that will trigger spontaneous memory recall. There must be a trigger mechanism for one to recollect the memory, and who really he is, at that moment, that may or may not assist him realizing his full potential and capability.
Have you ever wondered why and where you are today? For sure, to many, that is not what you dreamed of and planned. Some may even be in a field or career that is not of his own choosing. But the true path of destiny had placed him in a place where he would “face” himself. I know one who is not an architect or an engineer, but he excels in his construction business. He is not a doctor or has any background in medicine, but he possesses a deep knowledge of the human anatomy and its biological compositions. While he was still a student, he was able to explain, more articulately than his professor, almost all subject matters that were discussed. In another case, he did not have any proper background in writing, but writes better than those with higher academic credentials. Many people just cannot explain the reality of life, and yet they refuse to even consider the idea of the past life concept. And because of this, many of us keep trying and exerting so much effort and time in careers or relationships that are not ours from the start. On the other hand, there are those who excel triumphantly without any sweat, tears or hardships. Luck or destiny? Could it have something to do with our past life?
Another valid question is: “Are there people who do not have past lives? My answer is, yes. These are the newly incarnated souls. They possess no memory of a past life because they have not lived on earth before. Their emotions and ideas are primitive and crude, sometimes senseless and illogical, because they have not reached the level of emotional, intellectual maturity and sophistication paralleled to those who have had previous past lives.
The reality is, those who have past lives are better thinkers than those newly incarnated individuals. They have compassionate hearts. They possess a better understanding of life and the universe. The only backlash is, they still come back on earth, for the elusive “soul perfection,” because they did not and cannot learn the lessons of the past, and they have to keep on coming back.
Ways to know our past lives
1. Reading of the person’s Akashic record, done by a good reader of past and future. Medium or tools used varies, but it will be just a tool or equipment to trigger one’s ability to see and read the real story.
2. Regression. A hypnotherapist will guide one client in meditation then will proceed to a travel in times past. One will experience mystical travels from one time to another. The only problem I see here is the one being regressed may get emotionally drained because some deep emotions of the past may be brought to the surface and current memory. My advice is to be just really prepared to learn the lessons of the past rather than dwell on the past issues and incidents.
3. Self-regression. This is a self-induced meditation. One needs to be already good in meditation to succeed. This procedure is only for those who already have the knowledge of the Akashic records, our book of life. This is easier said than done and very hard to accomplish.
4. Dreams. Our past lives come through dreams from time to time. One must be aware and a believer of past life and reincarnation to understand the meaning of these dreams, memories that indicate different aspects of our past lives.
Learning about past life doesn’t mean that we have to continue the stories of the past. One must learn the lessons and reasons one is reincarnated to achieve soul perfection.
In knowing our past lives, one must be wise to live life toward a progressive future. Individuals and people entangled within the current life must learn to understand that the past doesn’t entitle one to continue the relationships, but these are shown for us only to give love, affection, compassion and understanding. By doing so, we are aiding ourselves in uplifting our souls to higher levels with regards to these relationships. Then we can move on and accomplish the much needed perfection we all want in life — soul perfection and eternity.
